Ipe 1×12 Brazilian lumber board
Ipe 1×12 gives wide coverage with the same tough performance Ipe is known for. This Brazilian lumber is very dense, so it stays strong outdoors. Many builders also call Ipe Brazilian iron wood. In addition, some people refer to it as Brazilian teak because of its rich brown color.
Ipe 1×12 size
Ipe 1×12 has a finished size of 3/4 inch by 11.25 inches. Because the board is wide, you get fewer seams. As a result, large surfaces look cleaner and more modern.

I started buying IPE from Brazilian Lumber over one year ago before the vendor opened the California location (i.e. where I am located). There were some issues related to the lumber (IPE), BUT the vendor made sure that all was taken care of and that I was happy. I mentioned “the issues” not to say that they product is bad, but rather to stressed out that the vendor provides superb service. No matter what you do, the problems may happen. Important is how such situations are handled. I was working with Luis, great guy to work with. I recommend this vendor.
