Ayous S4S E4E 1″ x 12″ x RL offers the natural warmth of real wood in a smooth, extra-wide profile. Ayous is a lightweight hardwood known for its pale color, fine texture, and subtle grain.
As a result, it creates a clean and inviting appearance. In addition, its natural character complements modern, traditional, and contemporary architectural designs.
The generous board width also makes it ideal for projects that need broad wood surfaces and fewer visible joints.
The S4S (Surfaced Four Sides) profile features smooth surfaces on all four sides. Therefore, the board provides a neat and consistent appearance for visible wood details.
Meanwhile, E4E (Eased Four Edges) means all four long edges have slightly softened corners. Because of this, the board offers a refined finish without sharp edges.
Furthermore, the smooth profile provides a convenient starting point for custom finishing and woodworking.
This Ayous board features 1″ x 12″ nominal dimensions with an actual net size of 3/4″ x 11-1/4″.
The wide 11-1/4-inch face creates a bold and attractive appearance across larger surfaces. As a result, fewer boards may be needed compared with narrower lumber profiles.
In addition, the boards come in random lengths (RL). Therefore, installers can select suitable pieces for different layouts and custom projects.
Ayous wood typically features a light, creamy color and a smooth, even texture. Because of this, it provides a versatile foundation for many design styles.
For example, a suitable clear finish can highlight the natural wood appearance. Alternatively, paint or stain can help achieve a custom color.
Furthermore, the extra-wide surface allows the natural wood grain to remain a key part of the finished design.
Ayous is relatively lightweight and easy to cut, shape, and machine using standard woodworking tools. Therefore, it works well for custom trim, decorative details, and architectural woodworking.
In addition, the smooth surfaces can reduce preparation time for many finishing projects.
However, wider solid wood boards require proper installation and moisture management to help maintain their appearance over time.
Depending on the manufacturer’s approved use, Ayous S4S E4E boards may suit:
