Overview

Premium Modified Wood for Exterior Construction

Clear Rough Sawn Kebony FSC® 2 x 6 (#2489) delivers the authentic appearance of rough-sawn timber while offering the long-term performance required for outdoor applications. Kebony enhances sustainably sourced wood through a proprietary modification process that improves durability, stability, and resistance to the elements. As a result, the material performs reliably in demanding environments while maintaining the natural beauty of real wood.

Rough-Sawn Texture with Natural Character

The rough-sawn surface creates a timeless appearance that works well with both modern and traditional architecture. In addition, the 2 x 6 profile provides extra strength for structural and decorative applications. Because of this, it is a popular choice for builders, architects, and designers looking for a durable wood product with natural character.

Built for Long-Term Outdoor Performance

Outdoor materials must withstand rain, sunlight, moisture, and changing temperatures throughout the year. However, Clear Rough Sawn Kebony performs exceptionally well in these conditions. The modification process helps improve resistance to rot, decay, and moisture while increasing dimensional stability.

Furthermore, the wood requires only routine cleaning, making it a low-maintenance choice for exterior projects.

Natural Beauty That Ages Gracefully

When first installed, the wood features a rich brown color similar to premium hardwood. Over time, natural exposure to sunlight transforms the surface into an attractive silver-gray patina.

Alternatively, you can apply exterior wood oil to help maintain the original brown color if preferred.

FSC® Certified and Responsibly Sourced

This product carries FSC® certification, meaning the wood comes from responsibly managed forests. Therefore, it supports sustainable building practices while delivering premium outdoor performance.

IPE pool deck KD 1x6

Ipe deck offers unmatched durability, beauty, and longevity. Ipe (also known as Brazilian Walnut) is a premium hardwood known for its rich brown tones, tight grain, and exceptional resistance to rot, insects, moisture, and wear. Naturally dense and strong, Ipe performs extremely well in harsh weather conditions and high-traffic areas. With proper care, an Ipe deck can last 40+ years while maintaining its structural integrity. Over time, it can be oiled to preserve its deep color or left untreated to develop a natural silver-gray patina.

Had a great experience with the sales rep. He was very knowledgeable and honest. We ended up buying some thermally modified ayous panels for an outdoor media wall. So far so good. It looks great and hopefully will last for decades… Thank you!! Everyone has told us how much they really like the cladding used for our media wall and we appreciate your help with our project.

Best prices and quality I found after looking at a few different places for lumber for my deck project. Customer service was excellent and they helped me with my selections, staff was very knowledgeable! Highly recommend Beyond Lumber and they will be my go to place for future projects.

Roy and his team are hard to beat. These guys are great, I’m a deck builder myself and their customer services is on point. Thanks for all your help team!

We had an excellent experience with Beyond Lumber. Their team was knowledgeable, professional, and guided us through every step of choosing the right materials. The quality of the IPE and other hardwoods was outstanding—everything arrived on time and exactly as promised. Beyond Lumber truly cares about customer service and delivers top-notch products. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for premium decking and outdoor materials

I started buying IPE from Brazilian Lumber over one year ago before the vendor opened the California location (i.e. where I am located). There were some issues related to the lumber (IPE), BUT the vendor made sure that all was taken care of and that I was happy. I mentioned “the issues” not to say that they product is bad, but rather to stressed out that the vendor provides superb service. No matter what you do, the problems may happen. Important is how such situations are handled. I was working with Luis, great guy to work with. I recommend this vendor.

I upgraded my backyard with Ipe deck tiles for my patio. It was definitely an investment, but it’s turned out to be worth every penny. The tiles were easy to install and the finished product is not only beautiful, but also incredibly durable and functional. I would highly recommend Ipe deck tiles to anyone looking to create a beautiful and long-lasting outdoor space.
